No matter what age, no matter what level…
All students wanting to learn music are welcome!

We pride ourselves on our ability to measure students individually and create a special interaction with each student. Lessons are structured around one-on-one tutoring in a fun environment, tailored to each student’s specific learning patterns and abilities.

Our main aim is to keep up the motivation for learning and channel a love of music! This facilitates the real therapeutic benefit of music, which is so important for mental health.

We believe there is no wrong or right way to learn, which is why we want to find out how each student individually learns.

We use crafts, games, and many other various methods to tap into the more creative styles of learning.

We tailor our teaching to the student’s goals, strengths, and what they enjoy!

Individual Classes

Class Info (Children)

Lesson length is dependent on each student and specific to their age, level and ability:
– 30 minutes: recommended for all primary school-aged students
– 45 minutes: recommended for adolescents or those who show concentration ability

Lessons are booked per term, with weekly lessons for the duration of the term. Click here to see the SA public school dates.

Weekly lessons provide the continuity and consistency that promotes and enhances learning for children.

Holiday lessons are available as well, these are booked separately.

During each lesson, we aim to complete both practical and theoretical work – this is achieved in many different ways: craft, activities, games, short movies, and other various resources.

Homework is set but is not mandatory – the home practice and workbook activities will enhance the progress of the student.

Books are recommended specific to each student and will be discussed with each student in lessons.

We advocate for home preparation as progress encourages confidence and learning new material creates more motivation for learning.

Goals and specific songs a student enjoys are very important additions to our lessons – this ensures a sense of achievement and motivation.

Adults Individual Lessons

Class Info (Adults)

Adult learners usually require a reasonably flexible structured class
– 45 minutes: recommended for new learner adults who have weekly lessons
– 60 minutes: recommended for adults with more experience (or who have fortnightly lessons)

Lessons are booked either in blocks of x5 or blocks of x10 lessons.

While weekly lessons are optimal for progress, we understand there is a work/life balance.

We conduct adult lessons with a self-guided approach – we want adult learners to feel that they are playing the songs they always wanted to.

In addition to chosen songs, we recommend a theory/lesson/technique all in one book to ensure solid foundations and steady progress of musical knowledge.

Goals and specific songs a student enjoys are very important additions to our lessons – this ensures a sense of achievement and motivation.

We advocate for home preparation as progress encourages confidence and learning new material creates more motivation for learning.
